Venge.io is a fast, online arena shooter from Onrush Studio. You drop into a small map with other players, pick a weapon and a character, and spend a few minutes trading fire while trying to hold the objective. It is closer to a compact team shooter than to the one-on-one duels 1v1.LOL is known for, and that is the reason to try it: the same instant in-browser action, with more variety in each fight.

What sets it apart is that a character is more than a gun. Each one comes with an ability you trigger at the right moment, and the game also uses a card system that shapes your loadout. A well-timed skill can win a fight that pure aim would lose, so rounds reward thinking as well as reflexes. The whole thing loads in the page with nothing to install.

How to play

Move with WASD and aim with the mouse. Left click fires and right click aims down sights. Click inside the game first so it captures the mouse; press Esc to release the cursor when you need to leave the game area.

The goal in the objective mode is to capture the point and hold it, so simply running around for kills is not the whole job. Stay near the objective, fight for it, and use your ability when a fight there is at its tightest.

Tips

• Aim down sights for anything beyond close range. Hip fire is fine at a corner, but distant targets are much easier with right click held.
• Save your ability for a moment that matters, such as contesting the point or escaping a losing duel, instead of using it the second it is ready.
• Take cover and peek rather than strafing in the open. Standing still on the point with no cover gets you picked off quickly.
• If mouse aim feels too fast or too slow, check the game's sensitivity setting before your first few matches.
